The Rice Test

An easy way to start finding the right breast implant size

Use the Rice Test for Breast Augmentation Sizing

If you are considering breast augmentation, choosing the breast implants that will allow you to meet your size goal is one of the most important decisions you will make. Using a simple experiment called the rice test, you can start to get an idea of how you would look with different sizes of breast implants.

Wearing "rice implants" or "rice sizers" inside of a sports bra, you can quickly "try on" different breast implant sizes in the comfort of home.

Understanding Breast Implant Volumes

The volume of your breast implants — along with their shape, proportion and feel — will go a long way toward defining your final result with breast augmentation.

Breast implant volumes are measured in cubic centimeters (cc's). Doing the rice test helps you to become familiar with volume measurements in cc's and better understand implant sizes when you discuss your target breast size with your plastic surgeon.

How to Do the Rice Test

See the easy instructions and some handy tips on making your "rice implants" or "rice sizers" and placing them inside of a sports bra to simulate breast implants of different sizes. An alternate way to simulate breast implant volumes is to prepare sizers using a mixture of liquid starch and glue.
