Education and Credentials
Dr. Stephen Gunn is a graduate of Auburn University and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. He completed his general surgery residency at Penn State University, Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He then performed his plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Gunn is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of prestigious professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and American College of Surgeons. Dr. Gunn has been a presenter at a number of regional and national meetings, including the Robert H. Ivy Plastic Surgery Society, Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons and Plastic Surgery Research Council. Dr. Gunn was was inducted by his peers into the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society, which recognizes physicians who are exemplars of compassionate patient care and who serve as role models, mentors and leaders in medicine.
